FAQ

HOW DO WE GET TO THE WEDDING VENUE?

Our wedding venue is a working station and located on a four-wheel drive gravel track. Private vehicles cannot go to the venue itself so the following transport options are available:

OPTION ONE – If you wish to drive, you can leave your car parked at “the Barn” which is located at the Buzzstop Honey Cafe (26 Hansen Road). Once your car is parked, buses will be making stops at the cafe from 3.20pm onwards to pick up guests.

OPTION TWO – Alternatively there will be buses doing pickups from the following locations at specific times detailed below. If you wish to secure your seat on a bus, please advise in the RSVP form at the bottom of this page.

KELVIN HEIGHTS BUS – pick up from Mincher Road bus stop at 2.45pm

FRANKTON BUS – pick up from Frankton Terminus at 3pm

ARROWTOWN BUS – pick up from Ramshaw Lane bus stop at 2.45pm

QUEENSTOWN BUS – pick up from outside the Sofitel Hotel at 3pm and Oaks Hotel at 3.10pm

(Please allow for traffic delays).

HOW DO WE GET HOME DURING OR AFTER THE WEDDING?

Buses will transport all guests between the ceremony and reception venues.

At 11pm, buses will depart the venue for Kelvin Heights (via Frankton), Arrowtown and Queenstown.

There will also be taxi vans immediately following dinner through until 11pm to transport guests either to their vehicle at “the Barn” or call a taxi for you from “the Barn” to take you home.

CAN WE BRING OUR CHILDREN?

To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that no children attend the reception.

WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?

We have arranged an exclusive deal at the Oaks Club, Queenstown which you can find by clicking here.

Alternatively we can also recommend other hotels (contact us directly) – as well as many Airbnb’s that are located in the area. There is transport from Kelvin Heights, Frankton, Arrowtown and Queenstown so please don’t feel obligated to stay in the Queenstown CBD.

HAIR OF THE DOG?

We will be celebrating the day after the wedding at Kinross Cellar Door. This is located at 2300 Gibbston Highway, Queenstown. Celebrations will continue from 11am, with nibbles and a complimentary drink for all guests.

Please indicate in the RSVP whether you may be able to attend and if you require transport. We will contact you directly with respect to transport.

A NOTE ON GIFTS

Please don’t feel obliged to buy us a gift, we just want you to come and have a good time with us! However, if you prefer to purchase a gift, feel free to surprise us or pop a card in our wishing well that will be available on the day.
